The Discover Scuba Diving introductory course is the quickest way for beginners to learn Scuba Diving in Roatan. Are you one of those who have always dreamt of being able to scuba dive but don’t have the time or resources to take on a full certification course? Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) was created specifically for people like you! The introductory DSD program allows you to try out scuba diving with a half-day course that can be credited towards PADI Open Water Diver Certification. Octopus Dive School provides Roatan visitors with a taste of scuba diving without having to commit to the full certification process. Give yourself the chance to enjoy the sensation of scuba diving in Roatan with the easily accessible DSD program.

Came here with my cousin and her husband and we all had an amazing time getting our Advanced Open Water cert with Alejandro. He was very nice yet serious when needed, you could tell how much fun he had teaching others tools and tricks to make diving even more enjoyable and safe. We also did some fun dives with Pablo between classes who was very friendly with years of experience to share. The staff here make you feel very comfortable and safe.

I had an amazing time learning to dive at Octopus Dive School! The dive masters there are some really amazing people that are really fun to have around. They will make sure you learn how to dive well and have fun. I honestly really hope I get the chance to go back. Happy bubbles!

Great people, great diving! Got my open water and advanced open water certification, then did a bunch of fun dives here. Spent most of my two weeks time on Roatan diving with them. It seems to be a smaller operation than other dive shops, so it feels like a small community. Pablo was a great teacher, but I would have been glad to have any of the other divemasters as a teacher. If you stay in West End or the hostel in Sandy Bay, they'll help coordinate your transportation.
