After 3 years in West Bay, thanks to an amazing person who started Blue Bahia Resort, Kent Burnes, we moved to Blue Bahia in Sandy Bay and remained at that location until 2018. Then we moved to Sol y Mar in Sandy Bay.

 

2018 was one of the most difficult years of my life – I lost my dad, Diego, and my soul mate dog, Pirata. I used to take Pirata for walks in Gibson Bight and there was always this beautiful piece of land on the water that I dreamed would one day become the location for Octopus. Thanks to the universe and my angels in heaven, I was able to make this dream a reality at the end of 2019 and built the dive shop and my home on this special place.

 

Then, we were hit with the pandemic. Again, friends and family stepped up and helped to support us during this incredibly difficult time which I will appreciate forever.

 

While it hasn’t always been easy running a business – I never could have accomplished this without the support and love of my family, friends and community. I am so grateful that so many people have believed in my passion and stood by my side.

 

7 is my lucky number and I am so excited to celebrate our 17th year in business. It feels magical. Today, I’m flooded with so many beautiful memories – of all the instructors that have been part of the Octopus team, life lessons learned and the many people that I have been able to share my love of diving with.

 

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank my clients, my staff and everyone that has supported this dream with their trust, kindness and support. I look forward to making many new memories at Octopus!
