Our beginner courses are designed for first-time divers and those new to scuba. You’ll learn the fundamentals at a comfortable pace, with small groups, experienced instructors, and calm Roatan diving conditions that make learning enjoyable and stress-free. No prior experience required — just curiosity and a sense of adventure.
PADI Bubblemaker is an introductory scuba experience for children aged 8 and up. Participants use scuba equipment in shallow, confined water under the direct supervision of a PADI professional, focusing on basic breathing and underwater skills in a controlled environment.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is designed for individuals who are not certified divers and want to try scuba diving for the first time. The program introduces basic scuba skills and equipment use, typically completed in a half-day experience under close instructor supervision.
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a partial certification for those who want to become certified divers but have limited time. It covers essential knowledge development and skills, allowing graduates to dive to limited depths when accompanied by a PADI professional.
PADI Open Water Diver is the full entry-level scuba certification and is recognized worldwide. This course teaches fundamental scuba skills, safety procedures, and dive theory, qualifying divers to plan and conduct dives within certification limits with a buddy to depths up to 60 feet.
Advanced PADI Courses

Once you have your Open Water certification, the journey is just beginning. Advanced courses help certified divers improve control, awareness, and confidence underwater. Whether you want better buoyancy, deeper exploration, or sharper navigation skills, these courses are about becoming a more capable, relaxed, and intentional diver.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver is designed for certified divers who want to gain experience and improve skills through guided adventure dives. The course focuses on practical learning, including deeper diving and specialized activities such as navigation, night, or wreck diving.
The PADI Rescue Diver course focuses on preventing and managing dive-related emergencies. Divers learn to improve awareness, problem recognition, and response skills for assisting themselves and others in a variety of diving scenarios. A challenging experience!
Emergency First Response teaches primary and secondary care skills applicable to diving and everyday emergencies. The course covers CPR, basic first aid, and emergency response techniques and is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course.
PADI Specialty Courses

Perfect buoyancy is the foundation of great diving. This course helps you fine-tune trim, weighting, and breath control so you move effortlessly through the water, conserve air, and protect marine life — all while feeling more relaxed and in control.
Expand your limits safely and confidently. The Deep Diver course teaches planning, gas management, and awareness for dives beyond 18 meters / 60 feet, allowing you to explore deeper sites while maintaining control, safety, and comfort.
Explore history resting beneath the surface. You’ll learn safe techniques for navigating wrecks, assessing conditions, and understanding hazards while experiencing some of the ocean’s most fascinating dive sites.
Dive longer and feel better after your dives. This course teaches you how to safely use enriched air nitrox to reduce nitrogen absorption, increase no-decompression limits, and optimize your dive planning.

Scuba Meditation

Slow down, breathe deeply, and experience diving differently. Scuba Meditation focuses on mindful breathing, awareness, and calm underwater presence, helping you reduce stress, improve air consumption, and connect more deeply with the ocean. Offered exclusively at Octopus Dive School, this course reflects our school’s teaching-centered philosophy and calm learning environment. Students practice basic meditation and breathing techniques in different positions, both in and out of the water, allowing beginners to learn the fundamentals and experienced meditators to deepen their practice in ideal local dive conditions.
